Continental Transportation Solutions provides Final Mile Delivery and Courier Solutions to organizations large and small all across the Chicagoland region in various industries including: pharmaceutical, 3rd party logistics providers, manufactured parts, retail chains and ecommerce companies. We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will be a hunter of new business and has a passion to prospect, cold call, close business, and consultative sell solutions.
- Effectively research and prospect potential clients through various lead sources including cold calling, association participation, networking and leveraging various information sources such as industry reports and tools like LinkedIn
- Focus on business within a 150-mile radius of Chicago, IL
- Manage and execute a sales plan to meet quarterly and annual sales goals
- Direct an account from presentation of the proposal through on-boarding
- Maintain a working knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry with a concentration on final mile

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Outside sales experience in final mile, courier or delivery industry
- Excellent organization, initiative, follow-up and communication skills
- Strong writing, grammatical, and proofing skills
- Strong motivation to exceed goals
- Self-confident, high energy, self-motivated and quick thinker
- Tactful persistence with clients, not afraid of selling
